Baymont by Wyndham Madison West

Upon arrival in the hotel staff was nice. We came from about thirty minutes away with the whole intentions of spending the weekend in hot tub. The first night we were there on Friday.We noticed bed bugs, hair, and other stuff floating in the hottub. We brought it up.||To the front desk staff and I even offered to use the skimmer to clean it myself. Unfortunately for these staff members they did not have access to the key with which the skimmer was kept. The the next morning I brought it up to a staff member. The staff member called the maintenance employee to inform them what was going on. The maintenance employee was rude to the front desk employee on the phone. While NOT on speakerphone I could hear him tell her he cleaned it twice today rudely. I offered again to do it, just they had no skimmer out. We, with the amazing lady at the front desk, looked at hottub as she took pictures. He ignored me when I apologized and offered to clean it myself. We walked too our room to change and 30 min later he was gone and there were still things floating. This was there until our final day right before checkout out. We spent money to get away in a hottub we were in for 5 minutes. All because the employee doesn't want to clean out the pool or let me do it. If it's that gross, close it. That way I don't book a whole weekend wanting that and waste money. I have gone here for years, when the bar was open and things were cleaner. I wiped everything down because it was sticky and dirty. I found a rusty razor blade, individual blade not a shaving razor hanging out by the lights. It was disgusting up there too. I wiped everything down on checkout. I put all trash in bags and tied them up. I stopped linens and sorted them. I threw the trash away from behind the TV. I have pictures of 95 percent of this as well. The front desk people were great, but things were dirty. Bugs on the walls. Please do better.

Check-in and check-out went very smoothly. Workers were friendly. The room was in desperate need of repair, especially the bathroom (nail-pops, missing grout, missing paint, loose tiles, etc.) The lamp had a broken shade, as though it was once tipped over and not replaced. Otherwise, room wasn't bad. We went to breakfast at 6:45 (started at 6:30). We ended up with COLD eggs and sausage patties that were hard (couldn't cut with a plastic knife) and dry. The rest of the breakfast was okay. Motel appeared clean otherwise and it has ample parking and easy access to the location. The motel is located in nice area of Middleton. With some improvements and a little TLC, I might stay there again. Prices were reasonable but more than should have been charged considering the issues mentioned above.

We have stayed here in the past because they allow us to bring our dog. This trip we noticed nice improvements in the cleanliness and care of the rooms and hallways. The staff has always been friendly and helpful, but I noticed a big increase the number of people taking care of things.Breakfast was always well stocked with good food like fresh fruit, scrambled eggs and juices and coffee. Continual restocking was much appreciated by all.

It’s a nice older hotel. It was clean. The front desk staff were||friendly and asked about my day. They were knowledgeable. The breakfast was good but the layout could be better. The pool and hot tub room was very large. Plenty of pool towels. It has a nice game room with a pool table. I would stay again.

Great stay I was passing through on my way to Illinois. Bed was comfy front desk was nice and courteous. Breakfast was good. Will definitely stay again.

PLEASE READ. This hotel had a decent staff who were very nice and helpful. However, everywhere you go in this hotel just has a slight hint of cigarette smell. The floors appear to never be vacuumed. The hot tub is big but once the bubbles calm down you realize that it hasn’t been properly cleaned in a LONG TIME. Dead skin, hair, dirt, etc floating all around. I literally saw a small roach type bug scurry across the wall by the breakfast area. My guess is that they never move the machines to clean. I WAS DISGUSTED! I would never recommended this hotel to anybody. Just spend the extra money and go to a nicer hotel. The grossness is not worth the money you save at ALL!

Great pool and whirlpool. Upgraded to a pool side view. So nice. Pre check in very nice. Dont have to worry about getting there right at checkout time at 3 pm.rooms very clean. Pool heated. Swam in it for an hour. So relaxing. Been there several times. Breakfast and coffee scrumptious 😋

We had to stay near the SSM clinic for an early morning medical appointment. Had a wheelchair. Room I booked was ‘handicap’ accessible but you couldn’t t get the wheelchair into the bathroom. Staff was VERY helpful and let me look at other available rooms that would accommodate the chair. Settled in the kitchenette suite. Bathroom was substantially larger but no grab bars for the toilet. The kitchen sink was leaking badly and had water damage underneath. Sleeper sofa was horrible but the king bed was very comfy. Hotel breakfast was ok.
