Super 8 by Wyndham Evanston

Please do not stay here. Hotel is very run down and in need of serious renovation. It looks like 1 star motel . Our room was supposed to be non smoking , but it reeked of air freshener that was masking cigarette smell . Smoke alarm was opened and tampered with , battery was missing ( in order for someone to smoke ) . It was very hot night , but we could not use AC, as something was rattling inside of it. Also bathroom was blocked and silicon around bath tub was mouldy. We will not use this brand of affordable hotel ever again. I would rather sleep in my car . The only positive was check in person.

Positive: The bed seemed clean, and there is hot water for the shower, even with their best effort to remodel. This is a low end experience. knowing what I know now I would not book again the photographs for the advertisement did quite a masterful job. Negative: The Location the parking the floors are made of Pergo, and with the sun shine hitting the floor you could see all the loose debris was not very well cleaned

Nose levels on my last night were brutal. I'm not sure why people are so inconsiderate but unfortunately I won't stay here again. I tried calling front desk to move rooms. Oh well lesson learned!

Don’t stay at this place. Evidently all they do is replace the towels and get the trash , but no one cleans . When I was walking around my room , black stuff was on the bottom of my feet. This is an old motel bought by Wyndham. Definitely not Wyndham standards. There was no place to take my pet to do his business. No breakfast as advertised. When you walk in the front office there’s barely a coffee bar. Definitely won’t be back here especially since I found out someone was murdered in the office.

When we pulled in, we weren't sure about staying. Jason Isbell's "Super 8 " was going through our heads. The staff was separated by glass. There were mattresses all over the grounds. It looked like a place from Mad Max. Even the staff said it looked sketchy. We opened the door and it was a clean modern room. Very comfortable and very bright. Breakfast was coffee and granola bars.

I was split on choosing this hotel with some of the bad reviews. Area isn't the best for having a picnic outside but it's really close off the freeway and price is excellent. As others have said, the outside looks old but the inside looks completely redone. It smells and looks clean, it's pretty quiet. Our heater worked well and we have plenty of hot water with great water pressure. Concierge was very friendly and helpful. Definitely would stay here again!

They advertise that breakfast is included yet all there was was granola bars and fruit.|We asked if there was any breakfast but they said that was the breakfast.|They did have very basic coffee and juice though.||The outside of the motel was extremely filthy but inside the was somewhat okay. Just the floors would make your feet black.

Booked on Priceline; we showed up to the hotel to find that there was no reservation. Woman at the front desk was very abrupt and rude; she was instantly impatient that there was no reservation. I was trying to speak with the Priceline rep and she was shouting that it's not their issue, that we need to figure it out because there was no reservation. I said, 'Ma'am, we've been driving all day, I'm trying to work this out, will you please stop and help us do that'. She continued to be rude and unhelpful. The Priceline rep called her and she would not take the additional information to attempt to find the reservation. Apparently she told him that they couldn't book any new reservations. We left and booked another hotel. This person should not have a job in customer service. She wasn't a kind person, let alone a professional employee
