NillThe manager (Phyllis) was very kind and accommodating with a new room the night of my reservation after Capital One failed to pay for the room reservation and didn't know themselves. She assisted in clearing up the issue and getting me a refund plus credit. The hotel itself has an older and more rustic appearance, but it is clean and in great shape. Next to a very welcoming local diner. Highly recommend over the chain hotels.

★★★★★We were looking at bad weather and searching with WAZE, They came up on the radar. Extraordinary value for the dollar. |Rooms were clean, staff was friendly, pet friendly. |No unnecessary fluff, but great continental breakfast and great price.

NillIf I could rate this place a zero I would. They have no heat in the rooms currently and wouldn’t disclose that they didn’t have heat before I purchased a room. When I went to the front desk and asked about it they said they had a space heater that I could use. I went back down to my room and plugged it in and it also isn’t working. I took it back to the desk and asked for a refund on my room and the manager/owner refused to refund me. I got a little bit and used some profanities and they kicked me out. What’s really funny is that his staff also have said bad things about working here and that they don’t respect the current owner stating that they could run the place better than he does. On a previous stay we were in a room that the bathroom sink leaked and the faucet repeatedly wouldn’t turn off. When we told them they came to look but just told us he’ll fix it when we leave. The shower/bathtub also wasn’t working correctly when you pull the spigot to use the shower head water would still gush out of the faucet and the shower pressure was terrible. Please save your money and never stay and this god awful establishment because you’ll leave very displeased!

NillWe were tired and the reviews had a rating of 8.5 for cleanliness. Upon arrival we were told the room selected was not available but offered a substitute. The door key to the room was a challenge to open the door. The room was clean and spacious. There was no air conditioning, heating was a space heater. One bed had stains on the sheets. Totally gross the other was fine. No Coffee maker, or hair dryer. And the shower head was almost painfull as the spray was minimal. This is a no go location.

NillThe Prairie is dirty and infested with bedbugs unfortunately, my little sister and her husband ended up staying there and my brother-in-law is covered in sores from all the bedbugs. Honestly, the Prairie Inn is always basically housed transient drug addicts that come through Evanston this place should be shut down for its serious falling standards of cleanliness they even refuse to give my little sister a refund, which is insane. I would recommend anywhere else in town if you’re looking for a lot price the Travelodge is a good place their rooms are actually clean and not infested by bugs

Nill0 stars if I could. We have stayed here 3 times now, and keep giving it the benefit of the doubt since it is cheaper than a lot of hotels. There is definitely a reason it is cheaper. Stayed the last weekend in July, got a quote over the phone and wouldn’t honor it. (It was like $10 off not a lot but that’s the price we were told it should have been honored) took over an hour to check it. Just came again and there is no heat in the rooms other than a little space heater. Barley checked in and if I could just get refunded and go somewhere else and they will not. These things need to be disclosed before booking/paying. Ridiculous management

★I was very disappointed. NO COFFEE! None in the room! Lobby shut down from 8 pm till 8 am? The restaurant next door didn't open till 7 am. Very old decor. The guy at the desk was just there for a paycheck. No customer service at all! The restaurant next door, Jodi's was good.

NillBed bugs! I was eaten alive by bed bugs here and the company refuses to refund my money , so now I'm broke and stuck in a truck during winter time until I get paid again . I went to the emergency room twice , then to a specialist who advised me to look for bed bugs after having to have blood work, swabs , and a biopsy done on my hand where they stitched that up ! And yes after all of this time being eaten alive and believing I was sick with a disease I found out it was bed bugs and that I happen to be highly affected by their bites . If I could post pictures I would show you how bad this really was and all the damage it's done to me physically.
