Very bad experience at hotel Basera. Waste of money. Personally, I'm telling people to avoid this hotel.. The first most reason is hospitality which is very poor. The staff members of the hotel took no response and very unfair treatment done with the guest. Food is bad the another reason that is less than average and major issue is that They can't respond to you for any issue.Secondly, the location is not good. Very interior from the main city Srinagar.Water Supply and the arrangements for the same is not appropriate. My Overall experience is very bad so I recommend people to avoid this hotel.

After having a really bad experience with one of the houseboats on Dal lake(Link of that review, with 10-12 photos is mentioned below), I wanted to personally check the Basera residency for its location and hygiene of the rooms as this was going to be the longest stay of 4 nights. ||||[https://www.tripadvisor.in/ShowUserReviews-g297623-d6756800-r373657957-Amina_Group_Of_Houseboats-Srinagar_Kashmir_Jammu_and_Kashmir.html ] ||||First of all the contact number mentioned on the Goibibo website is wrong. We couldnt reach this number as we wanted to know the exact location or landmark nearby. So we planned to go at the address mentioned in Goibibo and search for hotel. Me and a friend of mine Started from Dal lake towards the SHALIMAR ROAD,HARWAN. We reached Shalimar road and found this hotel after 20mins of inquire at nearby places. Later we came to know that this hotel is actually located at CHANDAPORA area of Harwan road, which is 3-4 kms inside the main road and its not walk able at night. Its completely endangered & dark area where we didn't get any autos/taxis after 8.30PM. ||||When we arrived at this hotel, at about 8.00 PM, we met the manager/owner of the place. We gave him our booking details and a staff member took us to show the rooms that we would be getting. This place looked like typical 'bhulbhulayya' where one door opens and there are 3-4 rooms in a row. Most of the rooms he showed us were really stinking as the bathrooms were not cleaned, the deep dusky odor of the bed sheets/quilts as if they weren't changed from quite a time. ||When we called the owner to describe the maintenance of this place, his replies were very arrogant. Standing in-front of the bathroom that was stinking badly(cant upload the photos Lol..), he was arguing with us as "Kaha hai smell. Mujhe kuch smell nahi araha hai". For most of the rooms he kept on suppressing our views and saying all rooms have been cleaned with extra care of hygiene. After sometime he agreed that someone had checked-out in the afternoon and the rooms weren't cleaned yet. He said we do not have to worry for we will get your 4 rooms cleaned before check-in. Entire hotel is fully occupied and nothing to worry. Where as in fact I couldn't see more than 2 rooms being occupied among the available number of rooms. ||||When I said that the photos of the rooms displayed on Goibibo and the rooms we saw were not the same, his comment was hilarious. He said the photos that were displayed on the website are the ones taken in Summer. Yeah Right! So May is not a month of summer! ||||As we were travelling with family(who were really uncomfortable with a previous experience of a houseboat stay) we didn't want to stay here for 4 nights with this kind of hospitality and the hygiene. And its not advised to walk into that area after 8.00 PM as the street wasn't illuminated enough from main road to this hotel.||||As this place is very far from the make attractions like Dal lake, Mughal gardens every time you may have to pay too much for the autos/taxis. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to stay with family. Its for only those who are looking for a cheap accommodation for a night's stay at their own risk of commutation.

A relaxing stay with mountain view and calm place. Ideal at Srinagar is a one night dal lake boathouse stay and another night at Basera Residency. The Kashmiri Khava offered was a treat along with yummy food.

hi i am Mr john mckee i am from USA i went to srinagar last week and stay at basera residency .first i thought how will be the experience but when i met MR. firdous i fell amazing relaxation. the hotel was so amazing and friendly .housekeeping was 24 hours available .i had an amazing experience with MR.firdous .the view was so beautiful hotel is covered with huge beautiful mountains .i recommend people to stay in this hotel and get the beautiful experience of your life

Best hotel to stay in srinagar. Very near to Dal Lake area. Rooms are clean and well maintained. Hotel owner is very friendly and staff is very coopertative. We liked the food. Overall comfortable stay n memorable too.
