Bad experience with swimming pool. 300 rupees per hour for what? The washrooms are yukky and smelly, toilets broken, flushes not working, dirty towels and dirty surface. Very disgusting experience. No receipts and online payments.

Overall experience is not as good as we were told by our tour operator. Staff is co-operative and helpful. Reception Manager is also helpful. Challenge is Hotel is under Renovation and so many rooms are not good as it has to be. Electricity is the major issue right now and Rooms don't have Fan installed so they provide it like Table Fan/ Standing Fan but that also runs on Generator. I mean we faced abundant chaos during our recent visit. Entry from Gate is also looks awkward especially for Parents who has difficulty to climb stairs. I will not give more than 2 star for current situation. Hope they are expanding and ready with all basic necessities for travellers.

Disgusting hotel. Rooms were extremely dirty.Corridors look like they haven't been cleaned in years.Carpet was filled with dirt and grass.Rooms look worse than servant quarters.Bathrooms look like they've never been cleaned.Towels had stains on them.Bedsheets were stained.Complimentary water is not given!! Restaurants don't open on time thus causing issues for everyone travelling outside.Staff behaviour is very rude.For everyone travelling to Srinagar,you are requested to not stay in this hotel.Worse than 1star rated.

My personal experience with family I book for 2 days including breakfast and dinner But it my mistake I never ever seen this tye of hotel service in my whole life. Point to be disappointed Cleaning: I book a sapphire delux room but can’t imagine how much dust are there we can’t stay even a one hour. Bedsheet is too much dirty toilet is not a hygienic. Electricity: after spend too much money you need to sleep with the help of a single table fan in your suit room. No ceiling fan are ther and even no AC working. Food and dining: you need to eat as per cook choice what you want to eat doesn’t matter whatever dish made by cook you eat else hungry. There are so many things I suffer but mention three basic need I mention. I personally experience don’t stay here they are not provide you a sub basic need.

We stayed here for 2 nights and loved the hospitality and food. The best part of this hotel is the location which is exactly in front of the DAL Lake and being a tourist you can enjoy this thing absolutely. Definitely worth staying here and highly recommend 👌

Shahenshah Palace Hotel is situated on the Boulevard Road and just the other side of the Dal Lake. It can be a good choice for travellers visiting Srinagar to stay here as you can enjoy the view of the Dal Lake whenever you like to. You can get auto rickshaw and Toto to go to the market and other places too. The room they provided us on the 1st floor and the room was large and specious with a clean washroom. There have a good staircase and lift to go to the room. There are more than one large, traditionally decorated dining halls. There are restaurant too. But we went there with a group, so we have not tasted the food served by them. Overall our experience of staying here was good in this ethnic and traditionally decorated hotel.
