Bamboo Grove

Bamboo Groove, a Kerala Forest venture, offers a serene ambiance amidst nature. The food was above average, with authentic flavors and fresh ingredients. Service was efficient, adding to the overall enjoyable experience. A great spot to unwind. 4 stars.

We were booked to stay here for 2 nights but then due to an unplanned visit to hospital we had to cancel. We tried emailing, phoning and WhatsApp ing them to advise them that we had to cancel at short notice but would it be possible to rearrange? We were completely ignored and in the end the manager of the accommodation we were staying in tried to call them and when he eventually got through to someone he was treated very disrespectfully. Finally after he spoke to them a couple of times they refused to let us rearrange our booking. I’m aware their policy says no refunds or rescheduling but under the circumstances we felt they could have been a bit more generous or at least they could at have responded to us. I can’t comment on the rooms but I wouldn’t want to stay there now even if they offered as there is zero customer service or care. Shame .

Surround by the nature, bamboos & plants with the tile based footpath gives the perfect view from the cottage. There are few points which needs to be improved (these are the problem I faced)- 1. Room service is very poor (even the intercom is dead) 2. No hot water provided in bathroom (even from tap there is no hot water coming out) 3. Insects are there , they can come into the room 4. Loosely door lock (even can unlock from several pushes)

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with a warm welcome and a pleasant atmosphere. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, making sure our stay was comfortable from start to finish. The rooms, nestled amidst the serene surroundings of bamboo groves, were clean and cozy, providing a peaceful retreat after a day of exploration. The natural ambiance added an extra touch of tranquility to the experience. One of the highlights of our stay was the assistance provided by the staff for activities such as boating and safari. They were knowledgeable about the local attractions and offered helpful guidance to ensure we made the most of our time in Thekkady. Additionally, I appreciated the proactive approach of the staff in arranging lunch for us. They called ahead to confirm our arrival time and made sure everything was ready upon our arrival. Overall, our one-night stay at Bamboo Grove was a memorable experience. The combination of friendly staff, clean accommodations, and the serene surroundings of bamboo groves made it a truly tranquil retreat in Thekkady. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway amidst nature.

The stay was good especially the place and surrounding but food was horrible could understand the oil they used for cooking was old one so had a bad taste

Location is nice, but everything else needs upgrading. We had a few cockroaches in the room and bed linen were dirty. Be mindful about booking tours directly with reception because there will be hidden cost (like extra entrance fees) that they don’t mention up on booking with them. Breakfast also is quite bad. It was not delivered on schedule and we nearly lost our tour. The main reason to visit is the beautiful location, but you can enjoy the same by booking somewhere near by !

Lovely place at Thekkady managed by forest department. Aptly named as Bamboo grove, this beautiful place has cottages among bamboo plants. Close to nature and each cottage is located away from.each other.for privacy. Rooms are a bit small ,ideal for two adults only. Get up early morning and you will be greeted with bird calls.
