I had a truly wonderful stay at Mayfair Himalayan resort. The staff were warm, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile, which made me feel very welcome. The room was spotless, comfortable, and well-maintained, with all the amenities I needed for a relaxing stay. I especially appreciated the small touches like complimentary water, fast Wi-Fi, or thoughtful housekeeping.

I have stayed with many Mayfair properties in multiple places but the one in Kalimpong has been a huge letdown. |Aren't hotels/ resorts supposed to be hospitality industry but here the "hospitality "was completely missing. ||1) Had an extremely unpleasant experience while booking directly at the hotel through the central reservation team. ||1) We had paid half the money in advance and the rest half was taken immediately on arrival. Isn't this to be done on check out? |It's pretty absurd and hasn't happened with any hotel or resort so far we have booked both in India or abroad. |This was reason enough for me to make sure we don't book with Mayfair again. ||2) Usually, on arrival we have always been welcomed with smiling faces at front desk. |Here this was completely absent which was a big deterrent even before our stay began. |In general, there was absolutely no feel good factor about anything . |||3) On check out, we knew our time was 12 noon. Around 11 am we get a call in the room.to ask when to send the bell boy despite not placing any call for the same. |How professional is this ? |This only gave us the feeling of being pushed out. ||4) |The swimming pool was not maintained and the water was very very dirty . |With limited things to do, this was a huge letdown again . ||5) The rooms had a damp /pungent smell which made it very tough for us to stay there. ||6) The in house spa offered me a 10 percent waiver( this is again different. When you book directly. Through the hotel, they offer you nothing but when you do through third party app there is. 15 percent waiver ) but on getting spa done I was told it's applicable only on certain massages. Wasn't this to be mentioned before hand ? ||Overall, this is a complete waste of money and by far the worst experience any of us have ever had.

The location is amazing and the people are just beyond expectation. |Very good food and ambience around.|The rooms are also very large and equipped with everything. I really felt it’s a value for money

The experience was not so good , due to Mayfair inability to provide me the best service and hospitality. I spend most of the time to fix problem of the room and deal with staff.|I will not recommend to the homely traveller , who wants to enjoy at room with good view. Before booking please confirm with the reservation desk about your room and its matching with your choice.

Never think of staying in this hotel. The staff is extremely rude and uncooperative in every way.||For example, during checkout it was raining heavily, and they did not allow our vehicle under the porch. They said it is “their rule” and forced us to carry all our luggage through the rain. As a result, we got drenched, our luggage was soaked, and despite requesting them multiple times not to spoil our trip, they showed no concern and behaved very rudely.||This hotel does not care about guests’ comfort at all. Absolutely terrible experience — avoid at all costs.

Went for dinner at Mayfair Kalimpong and was a bit disappointed with the limited menu. Mayfair is usually known for its lavish buffet spread, but this time the options felt quite restricted. The ambience and service were good, but the dining experience didn’t quite match the expectations set by the Mayfair brand.
